Your new company

The Barcaldine Region is situated in the central west of Queensland, approximately 440 km west of Rockhampton. The Barcaldine council's number one priority is the safety and wellbeing of its staff and the community it serves. You will be working in a recently developed construction team reporting to the Senior Works Supervisor.

Your new role

• Preform construction and maintenance duties on various infrastructure projects

• Effectively participate in road maintenance / construction works including, but not limited to; traffic control, manual handling tasks, understanding of costs, signal plant operators, operation of vehicles etc

• Ensure daily inspections / maintenance checks are completed and plant / tools are kept in good working order

• Lead regular toolbox talks, daily site activities and monitor works completed
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in civil / maintenance

• Previous supervisor experience

• Construction Card

• QLD Traffic Controller Licence – or willing to obtain

• MR Drivers Licence or above

• Certificate III Civil Construction – minimum
  
  

What you'll get in return

If successful in this position, you will be assisted in relocating to regional town called Barcaldine. The salary will be dependent on your skills and experience, starting at $75k + Super. This position is full-time, working on a Monday to Friday-family friendly roster. You will also be given a work vehicle to use during working hours and have the ability to grow within your career.
